Cleaner KR Market Boosts Business

Prioritising urban cleanliness and aiming to enhance the city’s hygiene and aesthetics, a massive cleaning drive was carried out today from 6:00 AM across major roads, important junctions, high-density areas, and market zones within the limits of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation, informed Commissioner Rajendra Cholan.

Details of today’s mass cleaning drive are as follows:

* Shivajinagar Division:
Race Course Road to Chalukya Circle – 2 km
Infantry Road to Safina Plaza – 2 km

* C.V. Raman Nagar Division:
Jeevan Bheemanagar Bus Stand to HAL Old Airport Road, Konena Agrahara – 2 km

* Chickpet Division:
Basappa Circle to Sajjan Rao Circle, and Sajjan Circle to Vanivilas Road – 2 km

* Shantinagar Division:
Indiranagar 100 Feet Road to Yogananda Ashram – 0.5 km

* Gandhinagar Division:
Nataraj Theatre to Malleshwaram Circle (Sampige Road) – 1.5 km

* Chamarajpet Division:

Cleaning works in and around KR Market have been ongoing for two days. The commissioner stated that the intensive cleaning has brought significant improvement in the market area. Clean market surroundings not only enhance trade and business activities but also help safeguard the health of merchants and the public.

Under the leadership of the executive engineers of the constituencies under the Central City Corporation, along with DGMs, AGMs, and the concerned division engineers, the drive utilized JCBs, lorries, tractors, auto-tippers, equipment, and sanitation staff. Plastic waste, accumulated soil, and silt along the roadsides were cleared, and building debris, petty shops, and construction waste were removed.

Commissioner has stated that similar regular mass cleaning drives will continue in the coming days and has requested citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness within the corporation limits.
