Bengaluru, July 27:To completely curb illegal sand mining, storage, and transportation across the State, the Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG & IGP) has issued a comprehensive circular to all Police Commissioners, Inspector Generals of Police, Deputy Inspector Generals of Police, and Superintendents of Police, following the directions of Home Minister, Minister for Information Technology, Biotechnology and e-Governance, Priyank Kharge.Illegal sand mining not only causes severe environmental damage but also adversely affects law and order and results in significant loss of government revenue.
