International Women’s Day & Ditta Mahile Award Ceremony for women achievers.inaugurated

BBMP Chief Commissioner Shri Tushar Giri Nath inaugurated the International Women’s Day and Ditta Mahile Award Ceremony for women achievers.

Senior officers of the BBMP and film actresses were present at the program organized by the BBMP Officers and Employees Welfare Association at the Dr. Rajkumar Glass House of the BBMP Head Office today.

Famous film actress Vinaya Prasad spoke at the program and said that the Ditta Mahile Award should be given to women pourakarmikas who keep all the roads of Bengaluru city clean. She expressed her opinion that they work happily every day regardless of any climatic condition.

Famous film actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan spoke, saying that the sacrifice of a mother is very great and a woman should be brave enough to build her courage. Then only she could tackle the struggle in life.

The power of a woman is known since the Vedas and Puranas. A woman’s sacrifice will be lifelong. She said that a mother is someone who swallows pain and sacrifices while showing courage.

Famous film actress Jayamala spoke, saying that all women deserve praise and the women pourakarmikas who wake up in the early morning and clean the city are Swachchata warriors who make others’ lives better. She said that women should move forward with courage without being afraid of anything.

The Ditta Mahile Award was presented to achievers in various fields, such as film actresses Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Jayamala Ramachandra, Saritha, Ambika, and Geeta; producers Lakshmi Govindaraju and Poornima Ram Kumar; Assistant Commissioner of Police Geeta; Doordarshan Chief Aarti H.S.; Police Inspector Prasheela; Bengaluru Urban District Chess Association President Soumya; renowned lawyer Shruti; TV9 anchor Madhu Nagaraj; Zee Kannada anchor Kavyashree Raghavasurya; Suvarna News anchor Pragati; Rashmi (Rapid Rashmi); Samruddhi Healing Center Dr. Purvi Jayaraj; and BBMP women officers/employees.

On this occasion, Karnataka State Government Employees Association President C.S. Shadakshari, Bengaluru Advocates’ Association President Vivek Subba Reddy, Special Commissioners Dr. K. Harish Kumar, Preeti Gehlot, Zonal Commissioners Karigowda, K.N. Ramesh, Snehal R., Archana M.S., Deputy Commissioner Manjunatha Swamy and other officials were present.
