Mr. Munish Maudgil, Special Commissioner of Revenue said that 830 non-residential buildings with highest property tax arrears under the jurisdiction of BBMP have been sealed.
Property tax should be collected expeditiously from the delinquent property tax defaulters in the 8 zones of the corporation. Among these, action is being taken to collect the arrears of property tax by sealing the non-residential buildings with high arrears in the respective zones.
Accordingly, in all reformation cases, the assets are to be recovered using attachment, forfeiture and foreclosure sale. In this regard, 830 non-residential buildings with highest property tax arrears have been sealed from 1st January 2025 to 9th January 2025.
182 non-residential buildings including all 08 zones have been sealed in last 24 hours. Zonal officials have been instructed to take appropriate steps to collect property tax in their respective zones.
