Only Eco-Friendly Ganesha Idols Allowed for Immersion at Halasuru Lake Kalyani: Snehal

In view of the upcoming Gauri-Ganesha festival, the manufacture, sale, and immersion of Ganesha idols made of Plaster of Paris (POP), thermocol, and chemical-based paints have been completely prohibited within the limits of the East Zone, stated Zonal Commissioner (East), Snehal

At the Halasuru Lake Kalyani, immersion of only eco-friendly Ganesha idols will be permitted from August 27, 2025, to September 30, 2025.

Furthermore, due to ongoing desilting operations at Halasuru Lake Kalyani, idol immersion will not be allowed on the following dates: September 1, 2025, September 2, 2025, September 8, 2025, and September 9, 2025.

In the interest of environmental conservation and to maintain the purity of water bodies, the cooperation of the public is earnestly requested. Everyone is urged to celebrate the festival with joy and responsibility by using eco-friendly idols.
