Develop School and College Playgrounds: Rajendra Cholan

Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Rajendra Cholan addressed a meeting of departmental heads from various divisions of the Corporation, held today at the auditorium of the Public Utility Building on M.G. Road.

The Commissioner instructed officers to prepare a list of all school and college playgrounds within the Central City Corporation limits and develop them with various infrastructure facilities, with the objective of providing better spaces for student sports and recreation.

Prepare a Detailed Plan for the Comprehensive Development of Selected Major Roads:

The Commissioner directed engineering officials to identify important roads in each Assembly constituency within the Central City Corporation limits and develop them comprehensively.
This includes high-quality footpaths, drainage systems, road markings, zebra crossings, junction improvements, streetlights, and other essential amenities—aimed at transforming these stretches into model roads.

Identify Corporation-Owned Lands:

Officials were also instructed to identify vacant lands and buildings owned by Bengaluru Central City Corporation, prepare feasibility reports on how these properties can be developed, and initiate immediate action.
Such development, he said, could generate additional revenue for the City Corporation.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner (Development) Daljit Kumar, Joint Commissioners Ranganath and Hemant Sharan, Chief Engineers Vijaykumar Haridas and Suguna, Superintending Engineers Puneeth and Chandrashekhar, Executive Engineers, and officers from the Horticulture, Forest, Health, Education, and Finance departments, among others.
