Mass Cleanliness Drive Conducted Across Central City Corporation Limits, Including K.R. Market

Public Appreciates Cleanliness Efforts at K.R. Market

Bengaluru, December 10:

In an effort to preserve the aesthetic appeal of the city, and as per the directions of GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao, the Bengaluru Central City Corporation—under the instructions of Commissioner Rajendra Cholan—conducted a special drive to remove unauthorized flex boards, banners and buntings across its jurisdiction. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Executive Engineers from various divisions of the city corporation.

Additional Commissioner (Development), Daljit Kumar, inspected several locations and oversaw the flex removal activities. The details of locations covered under the operation are as follows:

* Shantinagar Division: Shanthala Nagar Residency Road, Haridevpur Road, Cubbon Road and Mahatma Gandhi Road
* Chamarajpet Division: 3rd Main Road, Sirsi Circle and surrounding areas
* C.V. Raman Nagar Division: U.C. Colony 10th Main Road and nearby areas
* Chickpet Division: Siddapura Road, Hosur Main Road, Visvesvarapuram, Cubbonpete, Sajjan Rao Circle, Bannerghatta Road, Lakkasandra, Siddanna Lane, Nakoda Chowk, Thigalara Pete, Kumbar Pete Main Road, Dharmaraya Temple Road, Banappa Park Road and Lalbagh Main Road
* Jeevan Bheema Nagar Subdivision: Suranjan Das Road, Jeevan Bheema Nagar Cross and HAL 3rd Stage 10th Main Road

Mass Cleanliness Drive:To further strengthen public cleanliness in key localities—Gandhinagar, Chamarajpet, Chickpet, Shantinagar, C.V. Raman Nagar and Shivajinagar—a mass cleanliness drive was undertaken across Bengaluru Central City Corporation limits.

Intensive Cleanliness Drive at K.R. Market:A large-scale cleanliness initiative was carried out at K.R. Market, one of the city’s major commercial hubs, earning significant appreciation from the public.

As part of the operation, tractors, JCBs, auto tippers and other mechanical equipment were deployed to clear silt deposits, unused household furniture, construction debris, waste materials and other accumulated garbage from major roads and frequently used public areas.

Chief Engineers of Zones 1 & 2, Superintending Engineers, DGM and AGM of the Solid Waste Management Department, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Ward Marshals and Pourakarmikas actively participated in this cleanliness drive.
