Lock Properties for Non-Payment of Revenue Arrears: Rajendra Cholan

Engineers Directed to Work Responsibly with Self-Defined Tasks and Action Plans

The Commissioner of Bengaluru Central City Corporation, Rajendra Cholan, addressed a meeting of Heads of Departments from various divisions today at the BMRDA Office and gave instructions.

He directed officials to prepare a list of properties within the Bengaluru Central City Corporation limits that have not paid property tax, issue notices to such defaulters demanding payment of outstanding revenue arrears, and, if the dues are not cleared even after issuing notices, to lock the properties. Instructions in this regard were issued to officers of the Revenue Department.

Work Responsibly-Addressing officers of the Engineering Department, the Commissioner instructed them to define self-assigned tasks every week, develop the necessary action plans, and carry out their duties responsibly and proactively, with innovative thinking.

Farewell to Retired Pourakarmikas at the Commissioner’s Seat:

Under the leadership of the Commissioner, a felicitation and farewell ceremony was held for officials and pourakarmikas who retired from the services of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation in December 2025. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Raju and retired pourakarmikas were honoured.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner appreciated the invaluable contribution of pourakarmikas in maintaining the cleanliness of the city and extended his best wishes for a happy and peaceful retired life. As a mark of respect, the Commissioner honoured the pourakarmikas by seating them at his own chair.

The event was attended by Additional Commissioner (Development) Daljit Kumar, Joint Commissioners K. Ranganath and Hemanth Sharan, Chief Engineer Vijaykumar Haridas, Deputy Commissioner, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineers, and Revenue Officers.
