To effectively address the challenges of rapid growth, infrastructure demand, and climate change faced by the country’s cities, the Government of Karnataka is bringing together policymakers, administrators, investors, technology firms, and financial experts in the field of urban development on a single platform.
Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), in association with ‘Elets Technomedia / eGov Magazine’, is organizing the “Karnataka Urban Infrastructure & Investment Summit 2026” on September 9, 2026 at 10.00 AM at Hotel ‘Conrad’, Bengaluru.
In this prestigious event, Praveer Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, will deliver a keynote speech on policy formulation, while Urban Development Minister Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Municipal Administration Minister H. C. Balakrishna, Chief Secretary to the Government Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, KUIDFC President S. N. Narayanaswamy and Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department Tushar Girinath and other senior officials will participate in the event.
KUIDFC Managing Director T. Bhubalan will extend the welcome, while Urban Development Department Secretary B.B. Kaveri will deliver the inaugural address of the summit.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Technology:
The “Smart Urban Governance” conference will discuss the effective use of AI, data, predictive planning, IoT and digital infrastructure in the planning and governance of cities.
Waste Management and Water Security:
The conference “Water, Waste and Circularity” will discuss building a sustainable urban ecosystem, wastewater treatment and reuse.
Innovative Finance Models:
Experts will exchange ideas on public-private partnerships (PPPs), municipal bonds, blended finance, and bankable schemes for infrastructure projects.
Climate Resilience and Sustainable Growth:
The final session of the summit will focus on sustainable growth of cities through green buildings, renewable energy, green transportation, and Net-Zero pathways.
This summit is being supported by leading organizations including Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Autodesk, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), Nobel Systems, and DBS Bank.
This summit is very timely in the context of Karnataka’s rapid economic and urbanization growth, and the innovative ideas emerging in Bengaluru are expected to become a model for urban development policy across the country.
