Appointment of Nodal Officers to Each Ward to Redress Citizens Grievances: Circular from Chief Commissioner.

Bengaluru: November 27:

In order to redress the grievances of the public in all the wards of BBMP, Chief Commissioner Mr. Tushar Giri Nath has issued a circular appointing one officer as a nodal officer for the ward.

On the instructions of  Deputy Chief Ministers and Bangalore Urban Development Minister, one officer has been appointed as Nodal Officer for each ward in all zones.

It has been directed that the said officers must be present in the wards assigned to them every Wednesday during the office hours from morning to evening, hold meetings with the public, listen to their complaints and solve the problems in collaboration with other ward level officers.

Necessary steps should be taken to give appropriate publicity to the public about the public meeting held every Wednesday. Also, the nodal authorities should coordinate with the concerned authorities in case of Jalmandali, BESCOM and other departments and take action to solve the problem at the ward level itself.

The nodal officers should submit appropriate proposal to the concerned superiors to review the unresolved issues at the ward level and take necessary action at the zonal level.

Visit of Zonal Commissioner to Public Meeting:

The meeting will be held every Wednesday in all the wards in the 8 zones of the corporation. In this regard, the zonal commissioners have prepared a schedule and asked them to visit the wards of their zone on every Wednesday and take necessary steps to listen to the grievances of the public at the ward level.

Nodal Officers have been assigned to the wards in 8 zones of the corporation and the list of nodal officer assigned to the ward, ward name, designation and phone number has been uploaded on the corporation’s website bbmp.gov.in/home.
