PHOTO CREDIT -GBABengaluru, Jan. 12:2025-As per the orders of the Commissioner, inspections were conducted on 12-01-2026 in Paying Guest (PG) accommodations operating in Jayanagar, Bengaluru South, BTM Layout, and Bommanahalli Assembly Constituency areas under the limits of Bengaluru South City Corporation.A total of 66 Paying Guest establishments were inspected to verify the availability of basic facilities such as safe drinking water, cleanliness, kitchen hygiene, safety measures, proper toilet facilities, fire safety equipment, installation of CCTV cameras, and possession of FSSAI food safety certification.Notices had been issued to the PG operators to rectify the deficiencies within seven days and comply with the prescribed norms to continue operations.During today’...

SOURCE-PHOTO CREDIT-GBA Bengaluru, Jan. 8-Acting on the directions of the Commissioner of Bengaluru North City Corporation,  Pommala Sunil Kumar, a total of 82 unauthorized LED advertisement hoardings were identified within Zones 1 and 2 of the Bengaluru North City Corporation. Out of these, power supply has been disconnected to 66 hoardings.This action was carried out by a team of subdivision officers under the leadership of the Zonal Joint Commissioners.Strict instructions have been issued not to install such unauthorized LED advertisement hoardings in the future, and the said action has been taken in the interest of ensuring smooth and safe movement of the public.
