Demand notices have been issued to properties on Indiranagar 100-Feet Road following a re-assessment and revision survey of property tax. An estimated amount of ₹7 crore has been identified as differential tax for 49 buildings.

The Commissioner of the Central City Corporation, Rajendra Cholan, stated that a re-assessment and revision survey of commercial buildings on Indiranagar 100-Feet Road was conducted on 14-11-2025, and cause notices have been issued to properties where discrepancies were found.

During the inspection conducted on 14-11-2025, Commissioner Rajendra Cholan personally visited several buildings and reviewed the property tax details.

A total of more than 120 staff members, including 9 Revenue Officers from all revenue divisions of the Central City Corporation, conducted a property tax re-assessment of 197 properties. Of these, 147 properties were found to have correct tax payments, while 49 buildings had discrepancies in their property tax declarations.

Through the re-assessment and revision survey carried out in the Jeevan Bheemanagar Revenue Division and Domlur Revenue Division, discrepancies amounting to ₹7,21,79,000 (₹7.21 crore) were identified, and cause notices have been issued.

For commercial properties, once a cause notice is issued, property owners must provide a written explanation within 15 days. If no explanation or objection is submitted, a demand notice will be issued, and tax dues will be recovered as per regulations.

Jeevan Bheemanagar Revenue Division

* Ward 80: Of 71 properties, 51 properties have correct tax payments. Ten properties have discrepancies below 5%. Demand notices have been issued to the remaining 10 properties for ₹1,97,97,711.

* Ward 88: Of 57 properties, 39 properties have correct tax payments. Two properties have discrepancies below 5%. Demand notices have been issued to the remaining 16 properties for ₹3,89,53,507.

Domlur Revenue Division:

* Ward 89: Of 15 properties, 13 properties have correct tax payments. One property has a discrepancy below 5%. Demand notices have been issued to the remaining two properties for ₹45,28,909.

* Ward 112: Of 54 properties, 44 properties have correct tax payments. Demand notices have been issued to eight properties for ₹88,98,873. Due to technical issues, notices could not be issued to two properties.

Through this re-assessment and revision survey of property tax payments, discrepancies totalling ₹7,21,79,000 have been identified, and notices have been issued accordingly. After the notice period ends, tax will be recovered from properties that do not raise any objections, as per the rules.

The Central City Corporation will continue similar re-assessment and revision surveys in a phased manner across its jurisdiction, and strict action will be taken against those who have been providing incorrect information in self-declaration forms while paying property tax.
