Keukenhof looks back on a magnificent season. Once again this year, more than 1.4 million visitors from around the world visited the colourful spring garden. Visitors rated Keukenhof with an impressive 8.8.
As in previous years, most visitors came from the Netherlands, followed by Germany, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. The share of Asian visitors remained unchanged. Notably, a large proportion of the visitors, over 18%, fell within the 25 to 34 age group. The average age of visitors this season was 48.
Keukenhof’s refreshed visual identity was clearly visible this year. The new logo on the entrance building gave visitors a fresh first impression of the park. Other updates such as flags, signage, and the layout of the indoor flower shows visibly contributed to positive results in retail, hospitality, and the overall visitor experience.
A major highlight for visitors was the opening of the new orchid show in the specially renovated Juliana Pavilion. More than half a million visitors admired orchids in countless colours and varieties.
Further steps were also taken regarding accessibility. Thanks to collaborations with various partners, 45% of visitors travelled to Keukenhof by bus this year. In the coming years, Keukenhof aims to further increase this percentage.
Keukenhof employs 50 permanent staff year-round. During the open season, the team expands to around 2,000, all working together to create a memorable experience for every visitor.
Sandra Bechtholt, Managing Director of Keukenhof: ‘’We look back on a magnificent season. The beautiful spring weather created perfect conditions, and it remains special to see the impact that millions of blooming flowers have on our visitors. We can’t wait for the 2027 season!’
Keukenhof will be open in 2027 from March 18 until May 10.
