Measures Taken to Ensure Pothole-Free Roads: Rajendra Cholan

 

Road works are progressing swiftly within the limits of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation.

As part of this initiative, 701 potholes have been addressed through patchwork covering a total area of 31,783 square meters across 48.90 kilometers on 51 roads under the Central City Corporation limits.

In alignment with the directions of the  Chief Minister and the  Deputy Chief Minister, steps are being taken to ensure pothole-free roads within the Bengaluru Central City Corporation limits, stated Central City Corporation Commissioner, Rajendra Cholan.

A detailed ward-wise list of roads has been prepared. Damaged and pothole-ridden roads have been identified, and instructions have been given to engineering department officials to conduct regular review meetings and site inspections to carry out road repair works including asphalting, patchwork, and pothole-filling. As a result, the work is being actively executed with the goal of achieving pothole-free roads, the Commissioner added.

In the past two days, road repair works such as pothole-filling, patchwork, and asphalt resurfacing have been undertaken in several key areas including Suranjan Das Road, BEML Main Road, Old Madras Road, Richmond Road, Kamaraj Road, Hosur Road, Madiwala, Victoria Road, General K.S. Thimayya Road, MG Road, Chikkabazar Road, Palace Road in Vasanthnagar, Banjara Bhavan Road, Kumarapark East Road, and the Mysore Road flyover. These efforts aim to make the roads motorable and ensure smooth vehicular movement for the public.
