Road works being taken up on priority basis: Rajendra Cholan

Asphalting work was carried out on the road in front of the Town Hall on the night of 31-10-2025. 
Rajendra Cholan, Commissioner of Central Urban Corporation, visited the site and inspected the work.

Emphasis on city cleanliness through mass cleaning drives

Unauthorized cables and flex banners being removed

In the Bengaluru Central City Corporation limits, road-related works such as pothole filling, asphalting, construction of CC roads, and white-topping are being taken up on priority. Along with these, mass cleaning drives are being carried out to maintain urban cleanliness. Action has also been initiated to remove unauthorized cables and advertisement flex banners, said Shri Rajendra Cholan, Commissioner, Bengaluru Central City Corporation.

Details of road development works taken up today:

* Road asphalting work undertaken at Azad Nagar in Chamarajpet Constituency.
* Concrete road development carried out at Byrasandra Lake Road and surrounding cross roads in CV Raman Nagar Constituency.
* Pothole filling and patchwork undertaken on Hosur Road and Convent Road in Shantinagar Constituency.

Details of mass cleaning drives:

* From Old Madras Road to New Thippasandra Main Road and 80 Feet Road in Indiranagar, under CV Raman Nagar Constituency.
* Cleaning works around Jeevan Bhimanagar Bus Stop and adjoining roads.
* Mass cleaning drive undertaken at Ward 117 Shanthalanagar, Richmond Road, and adjoining footpaths.
* Desilting and cleaning of roadside drains and gratings on both sides of Richmond Road.

Details of unauthorized advertisement removal:

Flex banners and hoardings installed on Mysore Road and on the Sri Balagangadharanatha Flyover at K.R. Market were removed.
