Restrict commercial activities in residential areas: K.N. Ramesh
The corporation has come to the notice of illegal commercial activities being carried out in residential areas within the jurisdiction of the Bangalore South Municipal Corporation.
The Hon'ble High Court in Writ Petition Nos. 3676/2008 and 43472-43474/2011 has issued guidelines restricting commercial activities in residential/semi-residential areas of all sector roads less than 40 feet wide.
In this context, in order to curb commercial activities in residential areas, the permit verification process of official and unofficial commercial enterprises has been started from 17-11-2025.
