Action to continue against properties that have not paid pending taxes within the jurisdiction of the Central City Corporation: Rajendra Cholan
Commissioner of Bengaluru Central City Corporation, Rajendra Cholan visited Chikkapete this morning to review the ongoing property tax payment inspection drive.
During the inspection, representatives of Mantri Mall Management arrived and, in compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s order, handed over cheques towards the pending dues of ₹30.00 crore — ₹5.00 crore this morning and ₹1.50 crore in the evening, totalling ₹6.50 crore — to the Commissioner.
While addressing the ongoing revenue inspection in Chikkapete Division, the Commissioner instructed officials to prepare a list of all property tax defaulters, issue notices to them, and initiate the process of sealing properties if payments are not made.
The inspection was conducted under the leadership of Additional Commissioner (Development) Daljit Kumar. Joint Commissioners Ranganath and Hemant Sharan, Deputy Commissioner Raju, Revenue Officer Srinivas, Shivajinagar Assistant Revenue Officers, and over 100 staff members from the Revenue Department participated in the inspection.
