Bengaluru, Feb 22: Urban cleanliness is being given the highest priority within the jurisdiction of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation. A large-scale mass cleaning drive and black spot clearance operations were carried out today from 6:00 AM across various locations in all six Assembly constituencies under the Corporation limits, said Rajendra Cholan, Commissioner, Bengaluru Central City Corporation. Bengaluru, Feb. 18:- The Joint Commissioner, Sangappa, has informed that auction proceedings will be conducted on February 21 as property tax arrears amounting to Rs. 1.14 crore are pending from 71 properties within the jurisdiction of Bengaluru West City Corporation. Property tax collected from properties under Malleswaram Zone-2 of the Bengaluru West City Corporation is utilized for the development and maintenance of essential civic infrastructure and public amenities. As per the Greater Bengaluru Governance Act, 2025, all property owners within the Corporation limits are required to pay property tax every financial year. Bengaluru, Feb. 4: As per the directions of the Commissioner of the Bengaluru North City Corporation, Pommala Sunil Kumar, inspections of Paying Guest (PG) accommodations are being conducted across several wards to safeguard public health. PGs that fail to comply with prescribed guidelines are being identified, and the sealing process is being continued against such establishments. In this connection, within Ward No. 12 of Zone–02 (Shettihalli area), two men’s PGs — Sunrise Boys PG and Balaji N.S. Luxury PG — were found violating the guidelines.
