AIAMA announces India’s Largest-Ever Agarbathi Expo to position country as Global Incense Hub
~ AIAMA EXPO 2025 is the largest international conference and exhibition hosted in the agarbathi industry
Bengaluru, 18th July 2025: The All India Agarbathi Manufacturing Association (AIAMA), the premier body representing the Indian agarbathi industry, has announced, “AIAMA EXPO 2025”, an International Agarbathi Expo & Conference to cement India’s position as a global hub for agarbathi manufacturing. The three-day event, scheduled from 6th to 8th November 2025 in Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, has been conceptualised around the theme, ‘Traditionally Modern’. The apex body will also be introducing Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification as the quality mark for the Agarabathi industry during the EXPO.
The initiatives were announced by the office bearers of the association- Mr. Ambica Ramanjaneyulu, President of AIAMA & Director of Ambica Agarbathies Aroma & Industries; Mr. Arjun Ranga, AIAMA EXPO 2025 Chairperson & Immediate Past President of AIAMA & MD of Cycle Pure Agarbathis, Mr. Krishna T. V, Vice President, AIAMA, Director of Amrutha Aromatics, Mr. Sharath Babu P. S, Past President of AIAMA & Director of Beeju Sugandhi, and Mr. Sapthagiri. S Boggaram, Past President of AIAMA & Director of Sugandha Lok.
The demand for prayer products, especially agarbathi, has seen a sharp increase in the last five years in India and across the globe, according to a study done by the association. The event will showcase the finest offerings from the industry and provide extensive learning and networking opportunities. The Expo & Conference will host a variety of range, facilitate discussions deliberating on policies, employment opportunities, sourcing raw materials, trends around consumer behavior, and new product and packaging innovations.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ambica Ramanjaneyulu, President AIAMA said, “With a vision to make India the global hub for agarbathis, the Association is committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth in the industry. Through this initiative, we aim to instill pride and deepen the sense of belonging among all stakeholders in the agarbathi ecosystem. This platform will also open doors for meaningful collaborations and knowledge exchange across the value chain.”
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Chairperson, AIAMA EXPO said, “Over the years, the global demand for agarbathis has witnessed a significant rise. In light of these emerging trends, we aim to position India as the global hub for agarbathi manufacturing. Our vision is to bring the entire agarbathi fraternity up to speed with the evolving business landscape and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. As a step towards building a holistic ecosystem, AIAMA is organising a landmark Expo, a platform that will bring together suppliers showcasing their products and thought leaders conducting insightful seminars, all designed to benefit and empower agarbathi manufacturers.”
He adds, “We are curating an immersive experience that celebrates the rich legacy of agarbathis and the key milestones of the Association. The showcase will feature rare agarbathi samples, iconic photographs, prestigious awards, and other significant memorabilia. It is designed not only to honour the journey of the industry but also to inspire future generations of agarbathi entrepreneurs.”
Spread across 120,000 square feet, the Expo will have curated seminars that will cover various aspects of the agarbathi Industry including job creation, sourcing of raw materials, research on new fragrances, packaging developments, women empowerment, export opportunities and new-age marketing.
The Expo has the support of the Fragrance and Flavours Association of India (FAFAI) Mumbai, the Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) Kannauj, the Essential Oils Association of India (EOAI), and others. There are also exhibitors from Vietnam, Indonesia, and a few European Countries. Over 5000 delegates are expected to attend the three-day event.
