Bengaluru, Sept. 24:
The main road in Anepalya under Bengaluru Central City Corporation has deteriorated significantly. To ensure smooth vehicular movement, Commissioner Rajendra Cholan instructed officials to take immediate action using wet mix for road repairs.
During an inspection of white-topping roads and other areas within the Central City Corporation limits today, the Commissioner emphasized the need to apply wet mix and asphalt on dug-up portions of the roads to ensure a smooth, motorable surface for vehicles.
Inspection of Palm Grove White-Topping Work: White-topping work has been undertaken on a 1 km stretch in the said area, with concrete already laid on approximately 450 meters. The Commissioner directed officials to expedite the completion of remaining works such as ducts, pedestrian paths, and edge finishing, along with the rest of the concrete road.
Utility Cable Installation:Utility cable installation is currently underway on Bazaar Street. The Commissioner instructed officials to carry out the work swiftly and restore the road immediately to prevent inconvenience to the public.
Instructions to Fill Potholes:During his visit to Residency Road, the Commissioner examined the condition of potholes and directed that they be filled on a priority basis. He also instructed prompt removal of construction debris and waste found along the sides of the roads to maintain cleanliness.
Directive for Removal of Black Spots:The inspection revealed the presence of black spots along certain roadsides. The Commissioner ordered their immediate removal and instructed officials to take preventive measures to avoid recurrence of such hazards.
Repair of Footpaths:Footpaths in several of the inspected areas were found to be in poor condition. The Commissioner directed that they be repaired without delay to facilitate safe pedestrian movement.
Chief Engineer Suguna, Executive Engineers, and other officials were present during the inspection.
