Bengaluru, Nov. 4:
In connection with the preparation of the electoral roll for the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency elections, K.N. Ramesh, Commissioner, Bengaluru South City Corporation, convened a meeting with representatives of recognized political parties and all Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) within the corporation limits.
A total of 583 applications have been received so far. As the last date for submission of Form-19 applications is November 6, 2025, the Commissioner directed all AEROs to take immediate measures to ensure wider inclusion of eligible teachers. He instructed officers to personally visit educational institutions within their respective jurisdictions, distribute and collect Form-19 applications, and submit them without delay.
The Commissioner further instructed AEROs to coordinate with Block Education Officers (BEOs) to secure the cooperation of educational institutions for the voter registration process.
Representatives from recognized political parties — Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, Janata Dal, Bahujan Samaj Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and National People’s Party — participated in the meeting and sought to ensure that details of all eligible teachers within the corporation limits are obtained for inclusion in the electoral roll.M. Rachappa, Additional Commissioner (Revenue), Dr. Madhu N.N., Shri Satish Babu, Joint Commissioners, and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
