Transformer Switches Height raised for Pedestrian Safety:For pedestrian safety, the BESCOM team has raised the height of switches on transformer poles. This is being implemented for the first time in Bengaluru. In earlier walks, complaints had been received regarding such obstacles. During today’s Walkaluru walk, citizens noticed and appreciated the work done by BESCOM staff.

Praise from Netherlands Citizens:Citizens from the Netherlands, while sharing their views, said that the footpaths here are better than those in their country, are convenient for walking, and that cleanliness and quality have been well maintained everywhere. They expressed their appreciation for the same.

Remarks by the Organizers:The Coordinator of the Walkaluru Project, Shri Arun Pai, said that today’s 9th edition of the footpath walk covered 5 km. So far, 72 km of walks have been completed under the project. The goal is to reach 100 km in the coming months and to conduct this program in all five city corporation limits.
