









Advanced Parking Technology System at K.R. Market: Maheshwar Rao
Complete the remaining works quickly and make it available for public use.
Bengaluru, February 17:
An “advanced parking technology” system is being implemented at K.R. Market, and Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao instructed officials to complete the remaining works at the earliest.
During his inspection visit to K.R. Market under the Central City Corporation limits along with officials today, he stated that a parking facility is being developed in the basement using advanced technology. He informed that 90 percent of the work has already been completed and directed officials to finish the remaining work quickly and make it available for public use.
He also instructed that cleanliness should be maintained continuously in front of K.R. Market by undertaking regular cleaning activities. Emphasizing the importance of sanitation within the market, he noted that the toilet facility on the first floor is not in use and directed officials to carry out repair works so that citizens can utilize it.
A proper drainage system has been installed in the basement to prevent rainwater accumulation. Officials informed that electrical connections, fire safety measures, and other related works have already been completed.
Advanced Parking System:
K.R. Market, one of the most prominent markets in the city, receives thousands of visitors daily. To provide organized parking facilities for customers and traders, renovation work is being carried out in the basement by Right Parking Company. The facility will accommodate 400 two-wheelers and 200 cars.
As part of the advanced technology system, 67 AI-based cameras are being installed in the parking area. This will record complete data on the number of vehicles entering and exiting the premises. Additionally, 12 alarm systems are being installed to enhance safety.
Hold weekly coordination meetings: Rajendra Cholan
Officials from the engineering, police, and revenue departments were instructed to conduct weekly coordination meetings to ensure regular cleanliness, completion of pending works, revenue collection from shops, proper parking management, and overall safety. This will help create a convenient environment for customers and traders at K.R. Market.
On this occasion, BSWML CEO Karigowda, Central City Corporation Commissioner Daljit Kumar, Joint Commissioner Hemanth Sharan, Chief Engineer Vijay Kumar Haridas, DGM, Superintendent Engineer, and other officials were present.
