๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฟ๐, ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต 28: The ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป (๐๐๐) has welcomed the State Governmentโs decision to ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฎ ๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ข๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ (๐๐๐ข๐ ) ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, following an assurance by ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐.๐. ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ on the final day of the budget session in the Legislative Assembly.
Issuing a statement, ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐๐ฎ said,ย โWe are indebted to the Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and leaders of all parties for bringing the KAOMA discussion to the forefront in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. We also thank theย Chief Minister and officials of the Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Departments for their sustained efforts over the years in shaping this crucial Act.โ
He added, โThe KAOMA Act will bring ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐, ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ in the management and ownership of lakhs of apartments across Karnataka. We will continue to cooperate with the government for effective implementation. However, there is an urgent need to implement this Act ๐๐๐ถ๐ณ๐๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป ๐ฎ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ.โ
๐๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐. ๐๐ฟ๐๐ป ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ emphasised the need for immediate enforcement, stating,ย โLakhs of citizens living in apartment and residential communities cannot continue under outdated and ineffective policies. While moving KAOMA through an ordinance is a welcome step, it must now be implemented in a ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ-๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ. The government should also ensure ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฟ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฏ๐๐ฒ-๐น๐ฎ๐๐.โ
