Issuing a statement, ๐—•๐—”๐—™ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐˜†๐—ฎ said,ย  โ€œWe are indebted to the Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and leaders of all parties for bringing the KAOMA discussion to the forefront in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. We also thank theย  Chief Minister and officials of the Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Departments for their sustained efforts over the years in shaping this crucial Act.โ€

He added, โ€œThe KAOMA Act will bring ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐˜†, ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†, ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ in the management and ownership of lakhs of apartments across Karnataka. We will continue to cooperate with the government for effective implementation. However, there is an urgent need to implement this Act ๐˜€๐˜„๐—ถ๐—ณ๐˜๐—น๐˜† ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฎ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ.โ€

๐—•๐—”๐—™ ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ž. ๐—”๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ป ๐—ž๐˜‚๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ emphasised the need for immediate enforcement, stating,ย  โ€œLakhs of citizens living in apartment and residential communities cannot continue under outdated and ineffective policies. While moving KAOMA through an ordinance is a welcome step, it must now be implemented in a ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ-๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ. The government should also ensure ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—น๐˜† ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—ฏ๐˜†๐—ฒ-๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜„๐˜€.โ€
