“Bengaluru Habba” Cultural Festival to Be Officially Inaugurated Tomorrow in the Garden City:

Bengaluru, May 16: To raise awareness about environmental conservation among morning walkers and the general public visiting parks under the BBMP limits, a unique cultural festival titled “Bengaluru Habba” has been organized. This festival will include various cultural and artistic activities.

Parks are vital spaces that offer fresh oxygen and relaxation to the citizens of Bengaluru. As part of its green initiatives, the BBMP has developed and currently maintains 1,287 parks across the city.

To further enhance the experience of park-goers and morning walkers, the “Bengaluru Habba” program is being introduced in selected parks.

The event will celebrate traditional culture and the arts, featuring performances such as Dollu Kunitha, folk singing, sugama sangeeth, and folk art troupes.

As part of this initiative, 27 parks—one in each of the 27 Assembly constituencies within the BBMP limits—will host year-round cultural and child-oriented creative programs from May 2025 to March 2026.

Official Inauguration Tomorrow:

The “Bengaluru Habba” will be officially inaugurated tomorrow, May 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Bugle Rock Park in the Basavanagudi constituency by the Hon’ble local MLA.

The event will be attended by the Administrator, Chief Commissioner, Special Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, and other dignitaries.

Awareness Walkathon:

Prior to the inaugural function, an awareness walkathon related to the “Bengaluru Habba” will be conducted from Ramakrishna Math Circle to Bugle Rock Park. Citizens are requested to participate and contribute to the success of this initiative.
