Bengaluru, June 11:
Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has directed officials to identify unauthorized constructions and buildings that deviate from the approved plans in the Mahadevapura Zone and to promptly initiate clearance actions after due verification.
During an inspection from Nallurhalli Metro Station via Nallurhalli Borewell Road to Whitefield Main Road, the Chief Commissioner instructed concerned officials to take appropriate measures on several issues.
Instructions to Clear Unauthorized Constructions:
It was observed that buildings on 3rd Cross and 7th Cross in Nallurhalli Colony have been constructed in violation of approved plans. Officials were instructed to clear the unauthorized portions of these buildings immediately as per regulations.
Notices to Building Owners:
At Dodsworth Enclave Road, it was found that drainage water was overflowing onto the road. The Chief Commissioner directed that a thorough inspection be conducted, and notices be issued to the building owners. He also instructed that fines be imposed on the owners for violations.
Unauthorized Vehicle Parking – Penalty Imposed:
Nallurhalli Main Road is heavily congested with traffic. Several vehicles were found parked along the roadside. The Chief Commissioner directed that fines be levied on these vehicles and that traffic police ensure the removal of the parked vehicles
Inspection of Stormwater Drain (Rajakaluve):
The Chief Commissioner inspected the Nallurhalli Stormwater Drain and noted the need for a retaining wall. He instructed that immediate action be taken to construct it and that unauthorized buildings near the drain be removed. He also emphasized that no building plan approvals should be granted within the buffer zone of the drain.
Instruction to Widen Nallurhalli Main Road:
Regarding the road widening from Nallurhalli Metro Station to Whitefield Main Road via Nallurhalli Borewell Road, the Chief Commissioner instructed that action be taken promptly as per the CDP.
Recovery of Relinquished Lands:
Instructions were given to reclaim relinquished lands within the Mahadevapura Zone. If feasible, these lands are to be developed into vending zones and used for public amenities.
Inspection of 4.5 km Footpath:
The Chief Commissioner directed officials to immediately remove encroachments and unauthorized OFCs on the footpath, desilt roadside drains, and repair damaged slabs.
During the inspection, Zonal Commissioner Shri Ramesh, Chief Engineer of Road Infrastructure Division Shri Lokesh, Executive Engineers, officials from BESCOM and BWSSB, and other concerned department officials were present.
