K.R. Market and surrounding areas should be cleaned: Venkatachalapathy,Additional Commissioner of Development,Bangalore Central City Corporation

As per the instructions given by the  Chief Commissioner of GBA, Maheshwar Rao, during his visit to K.R. Market yesterday, the Additional Commissioner of Development, Central Urban Corporation, Venkatachalapathy, held a meeting with the officials today for the purpose of cleaning the K.R. Market and the surrounding area and gave the necessary instructions.

““Clean the flower market.–

He instructed to clean the flower market on the ground floor.““He instructed that the area where coriander is sold in front of the market should be completely concreted to fill the potholes, as the water stagnates and becomes quite messy when it rains.““

Appointment of additional marshals

He directed that additional marshals be deployed for the cleanliness work and that the cleanliness work be carried out properly.““Provide toilet facilities on the 1st floor.““He suggested that the toilet on the 1st floor be made available for public use.““

“Clear the encroachments:-

The encroachments in the shops and in front of the K.R. Market building were identified and the encroachments were given time to vacate their premises. If they did not vacate within the given time, the city corporation officials were instructed to vacate.““* Instructions to take immediate action to construct a shed for proper waste management.““*

Allocate a trading area for traders in front of the market and provide lining.

Instructions to impose fines on traders who leave the designated area and cause traffic disruption.““Joint Commissioner Hemant Sharan, Chief Engineer Vijay Kumar Haridas, Superintendent Engineers, DGM and other officers, police officers were present in the meeting.
