Take Swift Action on the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls

IAS officer Shri G. Jagadeesh today assumed charge as the Commissioner of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation at the Commissioner’s Office in the PUB Building on M.G. Road.

After assuming office, he held an introductory meeting with officials in the Commissioner’s Conference Hall and conducted a progress review meeting with officers from various departments of the Central City Corporation.

During the meeting, he reviewed the progress of various departments, the quality of services being provided to citizens, ongoing development works, and future action plans. He instructed officials to further strengthen coordination among departments and work responsibly within the legal framework to ensure prompt and effective public service delivery.

Key directions issued by the Commissioner during the meeting:

* Develop parks into walker-friendly spaces for children, senior citizens, women, and the general public who visit them for recreation and exercise.

* Take immediate steps to achieve 100% targets under the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls and arrange the necessary training for the same.

* Evict tenants from shops and properties, including those in markets, where rent has not been paid, and seal such premises.

* Ensure mandatory attendance of sanitation workers for effective waste management.

* Achieve 100% door-to-door waste collection every day.

* Take permanent measures to eliminate waste-related black spots.

* As public servants, all officials should treat citizens with courtesy and ensure the prompt resolution of their grievances.

The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner (Development) Venkatachalapathi, Additional Commissioner (Revenue) K. Ranganath, Joint Commissioner Hemanth Sharan, Chief Engineer Vijay Kumar Haridas, Hemalatha, Joint Directors of Town Planning, Health Officer Shivakumar, Deputy Controller of Finance Vijayalakshmi, and officials from the Forest, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Education, Revenue and other departments.
