Leaf processing units must be mandatorily installed in parks: Maheshwar Rao

Bengaluru, Feb.26:

Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao directed officials to take necessary steps to mandatorily install leaf processing units in all parks within the GBA limits.

While addressing the public grievance meeting held at the 10th floor conference hall of the PU Building on M.G. Road under the Bengaluru Central City Corporation he issued necessary instructions to officers.

Leaves falling from trees and plants in parks can be processed at the source to produce compost, which can then be used for the maintenance of the same parks. In this regard, he instructed officials to ensure that leaf processing units are compulsorily established in all parks within the GBA jurisdiction.
