Bengaluru, Feb. 4:
As per the directions of the Commissioner of the Bengaluru North City Corporation, Pommala Sunil Kumar, inspections of Paying Guest (PG) accommodations are being conducted across several wards to safeguard public health. PGs that fail to comply with prescribed guidelines are being identified, and the sealing process is being continued against such establishments.
In this connection, within Ward No. 12 of Zone–02 (Shettihalli area), two men’s PGs — Sunrise Boys PG and Balaji N.S. Luxury PG — were found violating the guidelines. The residents were vacated, and the premises were sealed in the presence of Health Department officials.
During continued inspections, Sharada Ladies PG in the same area was also sealed due to poor hygiene conditions in the kitchen, in the presence of Health Department officials.
Further, in Zone–01, Ward No. 3 (Attur, Yelahanka 4th Phase), Sri Anjani Ladies PG was sealed for failing to maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Overall, today, 3 PGs in Zone–02 and 1 PG in Zone–01 — totaling 4 PG establishments — have been sealed.
The Commissioner stated that stricter action will be taken against PGs that continue to violate guidelines or operate without authorization.
