PHOTO CREDIT -GBA Bengaluru, Jan. 12:2025- As per the orders of the Commissioner, inspections were conducted on 12-01-2026 in Paying Guest (PG) accommodations operating in Jayanagar, Bengaluru South, BTM Layout, and Bommanahalli Assembly Constituency areas under the limits of Bengaluru South City Corporation. A total of 66 Paying Guest establishments were inspected to verify the availability of basic facilities such as safe drinking water, cleanliness, kitchen hygiene, safety measures, proper toilet facilities, fire safety equipment, installation of CCTV cameras, and possession of FSSAI food safety certification. Bengaluru, Nov.24: A fire accident occurred around 10:00 AM today on the 1st and 2nd floors of a commercial complex located in Jayanagar 4th Block due to an electrical short circuit. Upon receiving the information, officials from the South City Corporation and the Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and initiated operations. The power supply to the multi-storey building was disconnected before beginning the firefighting operations.
