During the inspection conducted on 14-11-2025, Commissioner Rajendra Cholan personally visited several buildings and reviewed the property tax details. A total of more than 120 staff members, including 9 Revenue Officers from all revenue divisions of the Central City Corporation, conducted a property tax re-assessment of 197 properties. The corporation has come to the notice of illegal commercial activities being carried out in residential areas within the jurisdiction of the Bangalore South Municipal Corporation. The Hon'ble High Court in Writ Petition Nos. 3676/2008 and 43472-43474/2011 has issued guidelines restricting commercial activities in residential/semi-residential areas of all sector roads less than 40 feet wide.
