IKEA expands in Bengaluru with its first city store at Konanakunte Cross
Bengaluru, 29 October 2026: IKEA India is set to open its second store in Bengaluru on 5 November 2026 at Purva Zentech, Kanakapura Main Road. Building on its strong presence in the city through e-commerce and its Nagasandra store, IKEA is bringing its complete shopping experience closer to customers across South Bengaluru and neighbouring areas.

The complete IKEA range of over 7,000 products can be ordered in-store or through the IKEA website, app and Shop by Phone service. Customers can also take a break from shopping and enjoy Swedish favourites and local treats at the 100-seater IKEA Restaurant.
Patrik Antoni, CEO, IKEA India, says, “Bengaluru holds a special place in our India journey. Over the last five years, we have been welcomed into thousands of homes and have had the opportunity to learn from customers about how they live, what they value, and how their needs are evolving. These insights have been instrumental in designing our new South Bengaluru store. Opening our second store in the city is a proud milestone and reflects our commitment to being more accessible and convenient.”
From independent multigenerational homes to newer high-rise apartments with compact layouts, South Bengaluru reflects different life stages and ways of living. With hybrid work and the city’s thriving entrepreneurial culture, homes today make room for much more than everyday routines. The same space often serves multiple needs, supporting work, family, hobbies, personal projects and celebrations. This is shaping how people furnish their homes, with growing interest in multifunctional furniture and smart storage that adapts to evolving needs.
Balconies, terraces and outdoor corners are an integral part of everyday life. From hosting, gardening or simply creating a quiet reading corner, people actively invest in these spaces to make them comfortable, functional and enjoyable throughout the year.
Designed around these everyday needs, the store features inspiring room settings and solutions. Whether it’s making more space for everyday activities, organising a busy household or furnishing a new home, customers can find ideas that suit their requirements, budget and personal style. From planning to delivery, assembly and installation, a range of services is also available to make the experience convenient and seamless.
IKEA began its journey in Bengaluru with e-commerce in 2021, followed by the opening of its first store in 2022. Today, the city is home to a community of over 9,00,000 IKEA Family members. Across India, IKEA reaches over 300 million visitors through its online and offline channels and has a strong community of more than 3 million IKEA Family members. With a growing network of large-format stores, city stores and e-commerce, IKEA India continues its omnichannel expansion journey, helping create a better everyday life for the many people.
