Bengaluru, June 30: BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao has instructed officials to complete the stormwater drainage work undertaken around Sindhoora Kalyana Mantapa in JP Nagar by the end of this year, in order to prevent flooding in the surrounding areas. During an inspection tour of various locations in the city's South Zone today, he stated that a 1.3 km-long stormwater drain is being constructed to connect Sindhoora Kalyana Mantapa to K-210. He directed officials to expedite the completion of this project to avoid flooding during the rainy season. He further emphasized that barricading must be installed near chambers at the construction sites to ensure safety and prevent any untoward incidents. 300 Tokens Issued in Today’s E-Khata Drive Bengaluru, June 30: A “Mega E-Khata Drive” was organized over the last two days at the Sahakara Nagar Playground, located within the Byatarayanapura Assembly Constituency under BBMP’s Yelahanka Zone. Approximately 4,300 citizens participated in this initiative held yesterday and today. Applicants from seven wards under the Byatarayanapura constituency, along with participants from the Yelahanka Assembly Constituency and other BBMP zones, attended the drive to submit their applications for E-Khatas. During the two-day E-Khata Drive, a total of 4,300 people were issued tokens. Out of these, 1,694 applications were processed, and 1,259 final E-Khatas were approved and handed over on the spot.
