High priority for integrated waste management: BBMP administrator.
Mr. S.R. Umashankar, Administrator said that under the scope of BBMP, more priority is being given to comprehensive waste management and many projects are being undertaken for it.
He was addressing a two-day workshop on "Climate Action" in collaboration with BBMP C40 cities at Room No. 419 of Vikas soudha.
With a view to eliminate the problem of solid waste in the city, many initiatives have been adopted and work is being done to implement them all. He said that the state government has identified 50 to 100 acres of government-owned land in the four directions of the corporation for integrated waste management, and the process of handing over the said land to the corporation is underway.
