PUBLIC URGED TO REPORT NON-COMPLIANCE OF PARK TIMING BY OFFICIALS: PREETI GEHLOT

Bengaluru, May 22:

Preeti Gehlot Special Commissioner for Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Management, has appealed to the public to report any instances where entry to parks within the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) limits is denied during designated hours.

To ensure greater convenience for the public, the BBMP has revised the operating hours of its 1,287 parks. As per the circular issued by the Chief Commissioner on June 12, 2024, all parks are to remain open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

The circular clearly states that no park under BBMP limits could deny entry to the public during these hours. Should any such instance occur, citizens are encouraged to submit complaints to the BBMP along with photographic evidence.
